A simplistic power-menu for Qtile and other X.Org window managers
power-menu is a minimalistic power menu app for simple integratation with most of Linux distro
Installation
When downloaded, this app should be installed by hand. For this, do the following:
- To use it with terminal:
- Check your
directories and pick any of them. I recommend to use ones that are available for your default$PATH$USER - Copy
inside the selected directory and make it executablepower-menu.py - Restart your terminal instance or use
command on your rc file. Now you can use the commandsource
- Check your
- To use it with rofi or other app menu:
- Copy
topower-menu.Desktop. If application doesn't appear in your app menu, reload DE or WM$HOME/.local/share/applications

- To create a button/widget for a menu bar:

- To use it with shortcuts:
- As for previous one, it depends on your DE/WM or shortcut daemon (like sxhkd). For Qtile: https://docs.qtile.org/en/latest/manual/config/keys.html
- Don't forget, that (if you realized the instruction for terminal) power-menu.py can be executed as an ordinary Linux command, so there is no need to give an entire path for it
