Starting from a ascii file containing the list (dummy.txt) and from an empty tkmap.xml

run this awk script to create a new xml tkmap

awk -f tkmap.awk [optional vmin=value0 vmax=value1] dummy.txt tkmap_white.xml > ! dummy.xml

To generate a .png, .pdf, .C file containing the same tkmap included in a tkmap.xml

run the application

svgTopng.exe <inputTkMap> <outputFile>

for example

./svgTopng.exe dummy.xml dummy.png

./svgTopng.exe dummy.xml dummy.pdf

./svgTopng.exe NoiseTkMap_Run_109574.svg Noise.png

2)Example on how to create the set of 41 images of the "tracker scan" (one for each layer)

starting from a text file "points.txt" containing a list of points in space in the format:

detid x y z

./tkScanBuild.exe points.txt

To compile the executable tkScanBuild.exe

use the command:

g++ -g -m32 -Wall -ansi -I $ROOTSYS/include -L $ROOTSYS/lib `root-config --glibs` -o tkScanBuild.exe tkScanBuild.C

To test the program you need to download in the same directory:

tkScanBuild.exe

points.txt

CommonTools/TrackerMap/data/tracker.dat

Then give the command:

./tkScanBuild.exe points.txt

To create the web page "tkscan.html" with thumbnails linked to the 41 images use

the following command:
