Marching Cubes
- Exploits a coarser Mesh then MT but produces less triangles
- no use in commercial projects. Algorithm is patented by General Electric Company
- based on "Marching Cubes: A High Resolution 3D Surface Construction Algorithm" by W.E.Lorensen and H.E.Cline
Marching Tetrahedron
- Finer Mesh
- better feature preservation
- patent free
- based on "A new tetrahedral tesselation scheme for isosurface generation" by S.L.Chan and E.O.Purisima
