  <title>Description</title>

  <para>
   <command>ABORT</command> rolls back the current transaction and causes
   all the updates made by the transaction to be discarded.
   This command is identical
   in behavior to the standard <acronym>SQL</acronym> command
   <link linkend="sql-rollback"><command>ROLLBACK</command></link>,
   and is present only for historical reasons.
  </para>

      Optional key words. They have no effect.

      no new transaction is started.

   Use <link linkend="sql-commit"><command>COMMIT</command></link> to
   successfully terminate a transaction.

   emits a warning and otherwise has no effect.
